HVAC Service Technician – Tech 5 (Lead) – $38–$40/hr + High Commission (Fort Worth)

We’re building a Gold Collar championship team in Fort Worth and are looking for Tech 5 Lead HVAC Service Technicians (8–12 years experience) who can own the field, drive revenue ethically, and help shape the next generation of techs and leaders.

Fort Worth Heat & Air is part of Stoneburgh Management, a privately owned home‑services platform in Fort Worth (not private equity). We operate and are buying multiple HVAC and property services companies, which means growth and advancement for the right people.

What You’ll Do (Tech 5)

  • Handle the most complex diagnostics and high‑value projects
  • Lead large repairs and system replacements
  • Consistently sell maintenance agreements and replacements the right way
  • Act as a field leader and mentor for all tech levels
  • Work closely with leadership on standards and process improvement
  • Protect the culture and help build a true Gold Collar team

What You Need

  • 8–12 years recent HVAC service experience
  • Proven high‑performance track record (revenue, quality, low callbacks)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Comfortable being a go‑to closer on big tickets
  • TDLR License – required
  • EPA Certification – required
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Able to pass a drug test

Pay & Incentives – Tech 5

  • $38–$40/hr
  • $1/hr performance bumps every 6 months in your first 12 months (based on performance)
  • Commission:
    • 5% on $100–$3,000
    • 2.5% on $3,000–$100,000
    • Custom percentage on jobs over $100,000 (after job costs), structured deal by deal

Plus install bonuses, hiring bonus opportunities, and leadership‑weighted bonuses.

Schedule & Benefits

  • Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (paid OT in peak season)
  • Evaluating 4 x 10s (3 days off each week) for the right techs
  • W‑2, company insurance after 60 days
  • Company truck, fuel card, iPad, uniforms, major tools
  • Paid drive time, realistic call counts
  • PTO, sick time, 9 paid weekday holidays (double time if on‑call)
  • 80–160 hrs vacation based on tenure + option to sell back 40 hrs per year
